[News] Niger state House of Assembly has constitude a nine man Ad-hoc Committee to investigate irregularities in the payment of salaries and sanction those involved in accordance with relevant provision of the law

This formed part of the resolutions reached under matter of urgent public importance brought at the plenary by the legislator Representing Bosso Constituency Abdulmalik Madaki Bosso.

The House mandated ministry of finance of finance to take over the statutory responsibility of the payment of salaries to ensure accuracy.

He however, urged ministry of finance to provide evidence of payment of April salary to each member of the state Assembly.

Speaking Earlier, the sponsor of the motion and chairman of the Ad-hoc Committee Abdulmalik Madaki noted that due to these irregularities members of the state assembly, some civil servants and other public officers in the state are either over paid, under paid, or not paid salaries for the past five to six months.

Abdulmalik Madaki Bosso further disclosed that all irregularities cannot be announced to a deliberate attempt to frustrate the effort of the government in getting the actual total amount of monthly salaries of the state workers.
