In its efforts to restore sanity, especially along the major state roads, the Niger State Urban Development Board carried out demolition few days ago, and will continue with the exercise until sanity is restored.
Keen followers might have observed proliferation of illegal structures, such POS booths, kiosks, bartchers and many other temporary structures which are defacing the town.
Further, a hotel at Tunga, off Shiroro Road encroached into the road. Several notices were served but the managers of the hotel refused to comply.
Thus,the part of the encroaching structure was demolished and this exercise will affect all structures that were illegally constructed
