NEPC SENSITISES EXPORTERS ON EXPORT TRADE HOUSES.

Following the establishment of Export Trade Houses in three (3) strategic African Countries, the Nigerian Export Promotion Council, Minna Export Assistance Office on Tuesday, 18th October, 2022 sensitised exporters on Export Trade Houses (ETHs).The program was designed to enlighten active and potential exporters on the ETHs in order to serve as a means in bridging the market access gap identified. It also aimed towards equipping exporters on ways to leverage on the ETHs to unlock their potentials in order to increase the presence of Made in Nigeria products in Cairo Egypt, Lome Togo and Nairobi Kenya.

Present at the workshop were; the Permanent Secretary (Chairman SCEP), The DG, Niger State Commodity and Export Promotion Agency, DG Niger State Industrial Park, SSA to the Governor on Export Matters, President of Shippers Association, Presidents of commodity Associations for Sesame seed, Wheat, Sheabutter, NASSI.

A total of 167 participants were recorded which cut across active and potential exporters, youth cooperative groups as well as members of the organized private sector.

The papers presented at the program were;
‘Export Trade Houses’ by (Dr). Jamilu Mohammed Goma (MD/CEO JM Goma International Ltd, ‘Business Development’ by Hajiya Bilkisu Ibrahim (CHANMUS Foundation), Experience sharing on ETHs by Haj. Ladi Shambo MFR as well as papers presented on Financial packages for exporters by Zenith Bank and United Bank of Africa (UBA) respectively.

The event was a very successful one as active and potential exporters that attended the workshop left the Program well enlightened and with their capacity well enhanced on the ETHs.
