Governor Abubakar Sani Bello Speaks to Muslims as Ramadan begins
Ramadan Kareem: As we enter this holy month, I enjoin Muslims to use this period to pray for peace and the return of normal life to the world.
Muslims should abide by advice offered by the Government and by the Sultan of Sokoto, Muhammadu Sa’ad Abubakar III, to curtail the spread of #COVID19 which includes social distancing, use of face masks, avoidance of crowded areas and the practice of personal hygiene.
There is no greater time to show love to one another without discrimination, for sober reflection, empathy, piety, alms-giving especially to the aged, the poor, and the less privileged.
I finally call on residents of our dear state to remain vigilant and be security conscious, and to report any suspicious movement in their locality.
